Sous Chef

As Sous Chef, you will have experience with Italian food; assist in developing new menus, testing and costing new dishes whilst maintaining accurate recipes and methods of preparation.

The direction of the food offer at King & Godfree has been established as simple, traditional and authentic Italian flavours delivered in a modern context. Your role will be to execute this brief with the Executive Chef, anticipating our customers’ needs by being attentive and taking leadership.  You will be reporting directly to the Executive Chef and will assist in creating a culture of respect, innovation and excellence to deliver an experience of the highest standard.

Critical to your success you will need to demonstrate a proven ability to supervise staff, communicate goals and assign tasks.  You will communicate and enforce policies and procedures across Health and Safety and assist with employee selection, training/development and performance management.

You’ll be well presented, highly organised and approachable.  You are customer-centered and effortlessly promote teamwork and quality service through your hands-on approach, daily communication and working with other departments.   You will be across the latest trends in Italian food and will interpret King & Godfree key brand values for our internal and external stakeholders accordingly through confidence and drive.
